EPK: Stephanie Quayle – Stand Back

Had a fun time with Stephanie Quayle out at Dark Horse Studio’s in Franklin, TN as we piggybacked on a photoshoot to put together an EPK for her album Stand Back.

We shot two different interview setups and two acoustic performances. Stephanie had very little existing quality video that could be used as broll in the edit, so, to help flesh out to the EPK, I shot some additional broll at a writers-in-the-round performance and did some studio recording reenactments to sync with recorded music from the album.

The EPK was filmed using a Panasonic GH-1 with Nikon prime lenses and a Panasonic HMC-150, lit with KinoFlo lights, and recorded separately using Sennheiser G2 lav and ME66 boom mic on a Tascam DR-40 recorder.

Stephanie has a real dynamic personality and she is really funny, so the greatest challenge of this project was to bring her personality to the front, something Stephanie felt that I was able to capture and represent well.
